Fiori Leave Request at Pidpa

The objective of the project was to replace the legacy leave request application and to allow the population on any device (desktop, tablets and mobile phones).

The following features were implemented on top of the standard functionality:

  • Allowing a manager to request leave on behalf of an employee
  • Adding the possibility in the leave request to request full day, half day or full day absence depending on the type of leave
  • Splitting up of leave types: the employee uses ‘generic’ absence types, the application will generate the corresponding leave types used in payroll processing, depending on the type of employee, remaining quotas etc
  • Several enhancements (e.g. date picker) to improve the usability of the team calendar
  • Accessing the Fiori applications via the SAP Portal ensuring a secure connection and single sign-on
  • Using the Theme Designer to customize the look-and-feel of the Fiori LaunchpadSome screenshots:
